A Bit About Me

It's 2022 and I find myself in my final year of my bachelors degree in Design after a 10 year career in finance prior to this. To put it briefly; I have developed, over the previous 5 years, an obsession with creating.

I find it difficult to pin point specifically who I am or what I do, but my aim here is to give you a flavour.

My primary focus defaults to ceramics. This is where I am most comfortable. I love the tactility of the material, the feel of it in my hands, the journey the clay takes from raw to firing and glazing. The endless surface texture combinations, the mark making experimentations, the colour and absolute alchemy of the glazing process all continue to blow my mind.

Ceramic exploration does not limit me by material. In my creative journey I will explore with photography, collage, the study of objects, drawing, oil painting, screen printing, mono printing and mark making explorations galore.

The ceramic may be the canvas but the journey there is much like any other maker and creator.
